Liat Ben-Moshe, Ph.D., specializes in disability studies. Her forthcoming book, Politics of (En)Closure, examines the connections between movements that wish to abolish or close down carceral institutions — focusing on prison abolition and deinstitutionalization (in both mental health and intellectual disabilities). Her goal is to center and join the struggles of marginalized and oppressed people through scholarship, activism, and mentorship.
