Abasiama-Arit’s research is focused on developing leadership capacity in rural communities. She believes gender justice and inclusion are pivotal to agricultural sustainability and sustainable community development. Therefore, she intends to contribute to and influence the development of culturally sustainable and practical curricula and policies targeting a higher representation and participation of women and youth in leadership in agriculture.
