Veronica Bahamondes Lorca studies how solar ultraviolet (sUV) radiation alters skin cell function at the molecular level and shapes cellular responses to UV-induced damage. As a common environmental stressor linked to inflammation, aging, and cancer, sUV presents key public health concerns. She aims to advance research in photobiology by uncovering new regulatory mechanisms and developing strategies to prevent or treat sUV-related skin conditions.
