Jennifer Uribe's dissertation employs original qualitative data, archival documents, and newer socio-spatial perspectives in Sociology to analyze how privatized public housing redevelopment in the South Bronx reproduces racialized, gendered, and ableist exclusion. Disability is an understudied axis of exploitable inequality, and the lack of true access offers a novel lens for understanding urban infrastructure. They hope to become a tenure-track professor who contributes to equitable cities.
