We will be hosting an in-person training for new and experienced Lobby Corps members on December 5th, from 9:30am to 12pm at AAUW Headquarters. Please use this form to register for the event, and we will contact you with more information.
AAUW members and college students in the Washington, DC metropolitan area are welcome to join Lobby Corps. No experience or expertise is necessary — only a commitment to promoting AAUW’s nonpartisan public policy priorities.
Lobby Corps volunteers are trained in how to effectively advocate for AAUW’s priority issues with members of Congress and their staff. Volunteers receive briefings on chosen issues before going on visits, and new Lobby Corps volunteers are paired with experienced members. Our Lobby Corps members currently visit Capitol Hill offices every third Thursday of the month when Congress is in session, from 9:30am to 12pm.
